Our tuk Three wheelers come with full insurance that covers:
- Damage to the tuk and other vehicles
- Injuries to you and your passengers (treated at local government hospitals)
- Injuries to third parties
However, we recommend getting your own Travel Insurance to cover:
- Medical transport back to your home country
- Treatment in private hospitals
Can I pick up and drop the tuk at different locations?
Yes, you can pick up and drop off the tuk anywhere. An additional fee will be added. You have to inform the place and time, before at least 2 days.
(Applicable prices are mentioned in the pricing.)
Why do you have different prices for various durations?
When the period you use the tuk increases, the rental price decreases. It’s because longer rental periods offer better value and allow us to provide more flexible pricing, reducing the cost per day.
If I meet with an accident. What happens?
If you’re involved in an accident in Sri Lanka, here’s what you need to know:
- Reporting the Accident
In a medical emergency you should call 1990 for an ambulance.
In other cases you must call the police (Dial 119) to report the accident. And inform us.
The police will investigate and create a report, which is necessary for insurance claims and legal processes.
- Who is Responsible?
The police will determine who is at fault based on the investigation.
If you are responsible, you may need to compensate the other party.
If both drivers share responsibility, the costs may be split accordingly.
- Insurance Coverage
Our insurance covers vehicle damage and injuries based on the policy terms.
If there are injuries, medical costs will be covered as per the insurance plan, but we recommend having your own travel insurance for private hospital care or emergency evacuation.
- Legal Consequences
Minor accidents: Usually resolved through insurance and compensation.
Serious accidents (injuries or fatalities): You may have to attend court hearings.
